VoqText uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies and local storage entries, and, only if you allow it, Google Analytics cookies on its public pages. There are no advertising cookies.
Cookies
- voq_session: signs you in. HttpOnly, Secure in production, SameSite=Lax. Expires after the session lifetime or when you log out.
- voq_guest: identifies a guest preview session. HttpOnly, Secure in production, SameSite=Lax; expires after the guest session lifetime.
- voq_ws: remembers which workspace you are working in.
- voq_oauth and voq_integration: short-lived, signed security cookies (10 minutes) used only while you sign in with an external account or connect an app; deleted when that step finishes.
- voq_locale: remembers the interface language you chose.
- voq_consent: remembers whether you allowed or declined analytics cookies, for 180 days.
Analytics cookies (optional)
When the deployment has analytics configured and you choose “Allow analytics”, Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and _ga_<container ID> to count visits to the public pages (home, tools, pricing, help and similar) and to tell new visitors from returning ones. They last up to two years and are first-party cookies on voqtext.com. Nothing is loaded before you choose.
Analytics never runs in the signed-in workspace, on shared transcript links, on guest previews or on invitation and password links. Reported page addresses contain no query string other than campaign tags, Google signals and ad personalization are off, and analytics data is not used for advertising.
Declining, or changing your mind later with “Cookie preferences” in the footer, stops measurement and removes these cookies from this site.
Local storage
- voq_theme: your Light, Dark or System appearance choice.
- voq_export_prefs: your last download options (whether to include timestamps and speaker names).
- A pending claim token while you create an account to keep a guest preview; removed once the claim completes.
- On-device transcription: the browser cache stores the speech model files you downloaded so later runs start quickly. They contain no personal data; clear this site’s storage to remove them.
Managing cookies
You can delete cookies in your browser at any time; doing so signs you out and ends guest sessions. Necessary cookies are always on; analytics cookies are used only after you allow them in the consent banner, and you can change that choice with “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
